OUCH!

There is a lot more to share about this weekend but this needs to get done now before it gets lost in the shuffle. We have had a great weekend together as a family.
One more day before Scott heads back to work.
So, we have decided that we are going to try to reclaim our house
from the disaster it has become.
My first project...the kitchen.
While I am disinfecting the sink and getting a good scrub with a toothbrush,
Brooklyn walks over to the sink and watches for a second.
Then she gets this really excited look on her face....
"Mom, are we having company today?"
Ummm...No, why?
"Well, because you are cleaning."
OUCH!!!

PASSING OF THE TORCH

On the last day of pre-school, Brooklyn gave Alex a tour of what will now be her classrooms for next year. Unbelievable....already, my second baby is going to be starting school.

That just seems impossible!!!
How is this all happening so quickly?
I was warned about this...in a blink of an eye...just didn't know blinks happen so fast!

Alex, I'm going to tell you the same thing I told your sister...
Slow down, my little Peanut!
We love you...
To the moon and back!

BROOKLYN'S NEXT STOP...KINDERGARTEN

How did she go from this....

to this already???
It is scary to think how fast the "real" graduation will be here!
Slow down my little Midge!
Brooklyn, Grandma Yoder shared this with me
and I want to share it with you...
As you journey through life,
choose your destinations well
but do not hurry there.
Avoid the shortcuts...
wander the back roads...
enjoy the scenery.
And remember
that the true worth of your travels
lies not in the destination
but in who you come to be
along the way.
We love you, Midge...
To the moon and back!

THREE LITTLE MONKEYS SITTING ON DAD

GRANDMA HEADS BACK TO FLORIDA

After a two week extended stay due to my "bonus" hospital visit and much needed healing time, Grandma had to say "see you soon" to head back to Florida.
There were two very sad little girls and a lot of tears as Grandma was leaving.
I'm so grateful for the time Brooklyn and Alex were able to spend with Grandma Abblitt and the wonderful memories they will have from their time together.
THANKS AGAIN, MOM....FOR ALL THAT YOU DID WHILE YOU WERE HERE!

OREGON CREW'S PIT STOP

It was supposed to be an evening of smoked ribs, funny stories, laughter and mints on the pillows at the Grundy hotel...but, I had to go and get admitted to the hospital.
Way to ruin the day, Mandy!
Uncle Rob, Uncle Jimmy and Grandma Abblitt were making an epic journey from Oregon all the way across the country and back....stopping to visit family and friends along the way.
Since I was in the hospital, they stopped by our house for dinner with Brooklyn, Alex and mom and then came to visit Scott, Riggs and myself at Covenant. It was great to see them and spend a couple of hours visiting. Just wish it could have been at a different location!
