It all started with a question from Brooklyn:
"Mom, can we go to the Blank Park Zoo on May 29th"
The specific zoo name and date kind of surprised me but it seemed like a good idea. Turns out that Dan from IPTV (Iowa Public Television) was going to be at the zoo with "Buddy" from the Dinosaur Train...one of the favorite cartoons the girls watch.

So how could we possibly crush the dream of meeting "Buddy"....
TO THE ZOO WE GO!!!

He was A LOT bigger then she expected...
she had wanted to pick him up.
We had to explain that people / dinosaurs only look smaller on TV.
Alex colored a picture for "Buddy"...
so Dan was presenting it to him.

and I thought I needed patience to get my kids to move. Yikes!

Looks fun! Now we want to go to the zoo :)
ReplyDeleteAww, haha. how fun! I really want to make a trip to the Portland Zoo. The girls are looking as cute as ever. And Riggs is adorable! Looking forward to meeting him, hopefully in the near future.
