It's on the calendar!
March 21st
7:30am
We will be leaving our house at 4:45am to arrive at the hospital by 5:30am to prep for surgery. There will be 3 hernias plus an entire 'defective' area (as the surgeon called it today) repaired, abdominal muscles reigned back in and held in place along with removing any excess skin....essentially a 'tummy tuck' which my insurance company has deemed medically necessary. It must be bad to have an insurance company agree to cover it?!?!?
The surgeon says I will have a completely reconstructed abdominal area at the end of all of this...thank goodness!!!Not sure if he will follow through with my request for a six pack to be sculpted??? I will spend 2-3 days in the hospital. And, have been told I can start thinking about working out 6 weeks after surgery. Can't wait!!!
Although, I can feel my blood pressure start to rise thinking about going back into the hospital after the last experience...it has to happen. The end result will be worth it. A couple months of pain (a different kind of pain) to get back to being healthy and active. Totally worth it!
And, it will be a
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
for my husband!
Just what he always wanted....
to wake up at 4am, drive his wife to the hospital and deal with a drooling fool for the next several days. What a lucky guy!!!
Im not sure how I would react to the surgeon calling something on me 'a defective area'.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah!
We are on board to help in any way we can.
I'm jealous of your 6-pack already!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of the paid for tummy tuck! I'd love to have my C-section belly removed!!!!! However, I am glad for you to have hope of feeling better and moving on!! I'm sure you are relieved just knowing it is coming! PTL!
