GIRL? maybe...BOY? could be... HAWKEYE?...guaranteed!

JenVen and Grace hosted a "Hawkeye Casserole Shower" for me and this Baby #3. There were lots of friends that I have not seen for a long time, yummy food, a fun game of Bunko and of course all of the frozen casseroles everyone generously made for my family. It was a great time!

There were two other pregger ladies there too. Melissa came late from the hospital - getting tested because they might induce her and Holly had to leave early for tests to possibly induce her. Talk about being jealous!!! I'm so glad they were able to make it though!

THANK YOU, Grace and Jenn for getting everyone together and hosting a wonderful shower! And, THANK YOU to my friends for coming to the party! I feel showered with love...and a lot of yummy casseroles :)

The Invitation

The "sign in" table. Jenn and Grace provided
thank you cards and envelopes for everyone to
put their address on to help me out. So nice!

Tiered "Hawkeye Diaper Cake"

All the yummy food.
And, I got to keep all the Hawkeye blankets
and bib... (made courtesy of Grace's Grandma Pete)

Jenn pointing out the Hawkeye Shirt...she
REALLY wanted credit for that...and, she
got it...because I would never wear an ISU shirt.
No matter how much I love that girl! Mostly
because it would cause an issue in my marriage :)

This is the recliner which I spent the majority
of time during the shower. Very comfortable!

Jenn feeling the "burn". See, Jenn is a Cyclone fan
(Iowa State) but is wearing a Hawkeye shirt for
me. Talk about love! She was complaining of feeling
a burning sensation from the Hawkeye on her shirt.
But, Sara explained to her that it is just the feeling
of being a winner :)

Me, rolling the dice....
And, take note...Becky is the one looking sweet &
innocent, smiling at the camera. That girl has one
competitive edge to her! Don't let her fool you!

My Bunko....yes, it instantly gave me 21 points
to win that round. It also almost caused me to
start labor after Becky screamed. That was quite
the contraction! Thanks for trying, Becky!

Grace was running around taking pictures for
me. So, she included one of herself too.

Grace & JenVen

Jenn kindly telling me she is done
with the Hawkeye party

My "baby" being the baby of the
house...at least for a couple more weeks.

  1. Look, I was just really happy for you! Its not my fault that you were not nearly as into the game as I was...
You got a bunko! If you had gotten up and cheered like I did we might have been able to take YOU to the hospital.

Ok, kidding. And really, that was the funnest shower - EVER!

  3. Sure, Becky...blame the pregnant lady that can barely move. I think that if YOU could have been MORE into the game...you could have started my labor! What are you doing on April 8th? Maybe we can play Bunko at the hospital insted of getting induced the "normal" way :)
