And, I'm exhausted! The last 5 days have been a lot of fun but my body says it is time to pay the toll :) And, in all the fun...not many pictures were taken. I do have some and they will be shared in the next couple of posts. For the rest of our adventures, you will just have to use your imagination....be kind!
FRIDAY -
The Curren's got back into town and came over to play for a while. Brooklyn and Alex had a great time having their friends back. The girls had many a tear to shed when Ally, Brad and Abby had to leave for dinner at their Grandparent's house.
SATURDAY -
Grace and JenVen hosted a wonderful "Hawkeye Baby Casserole Shower" for this little one of ours. It has been quite a while since I have spent time with my friends....being mostly "housebound" for the last several months. I enjoyed every second (contractions and all) even though I sat in a recliner for most of the time.
There was even a surprise when I got home from the shower. Scott had moved Brooklyn and Alex's new beds upstairs, converted the toddler bed back into a crib and moved that downstairs. It is really starting to feel that there will be a little baby in this house again. And, I'm getting nervous...crazy, right?
SUNDAY -
Scott, the girls and I made a 4 hour trip to Illinois to visit Scott's Grandmother. I made a "nest" in the back bench seat with 5 pillows in an attempt to make the car ride easier on me. It was a great trip and Grandma Ezby was in high spirits and seemed to enjoy our time together.
MONDAY -
The "Task Master" (aka: Grace) came over in the morning and stayed all day until dinner, except for a break to go eat lunch with her family. She moved all of the things in Brooklyn's room upstairs (and even David got involved to help move the heavier things), organized everything, yelled at me, vacuumed, dusted, yelled at me, produced 4 bags of stuff for good-will, yelled at me, gathered together enough things to make a full bag of trash (broken toys, etc.) and, of course...yelled at me. According to Grace, I have "issues"....I am part hoarder, part too sentimentally attached to things (and apparently my husband agrees with her). But, to be honest...she can yell at me as much as she wants. She worked so hard and got so much accomplished in such a short amount of time. I felt badly having to watch while she worked. Although, she did let me organize books and put them on the shelves.
TUESDAY -
I had my 34+ week doctor appointment. Surprise, Surprise....still big. But, the good news??? Only 3 more appointments before this little one is out. Let me tell you what a party that day is going to be!!!! My next appointment is March 23rd for another ultrasound to check the size of baby and fluid levels. I will also be able to officially get the induction date on their calendar. Everything else looks good.
So, that is the last 5 days around here. Today is a rest day. It was really hard to walk last night and today it must just be ridiculous to watch me. But, that is ok...not much longer. Then I can start training for another marathon...granted, I will have to learn how to walk again first!
But, I guarantee that will be so much easier than being pregnant!!!!
