So, yesterday I was really excited for my every 4 week appointments to be dropped to every 2 weeks. Until today, when I got the call from my doctor's office regarding the results of my lab work. Not only did I fail my glucose challenge test but I am also anemic! The good news just doesn't stop with this pregnancy. Seriously???
But, I am trying to mantra myself into Dave Bartlett's (a pastor from our church) philosophy for life:
"There is always much to celebrate"
So, here it goes...
I am a child of God who has been blessed with a wonderfully loving husband, two healthy precious little girls, a baby that will join our family soon (who appears to be healthy...and is slowly taking me down....focus, Mandy...you are celebrating, remember???, a warm house to keep out the frozen winds, great friends and family members that continue to support me and make me smile.
See, Dave is right. Much to be celebrated!
Hang in there lady! Call me if you fail the next glucose test. I had GD and was anemic with Ellie, so I know all too well about that stuff.
ReplyDeleteKeep up these mantra's and we'll be calling YOU Tony Robbins :)
Thanks, Amy!
ReplyDeleteBelieve me...I am no Tony Robbins...as much as I try. That title will remain with Sara :)
Another thing to celebrate you got to speak with me today!
